Thailand MOI Publishes Notification Requiring Installation of Pollutant Emission Monitoring Devices at Factories in Bangkok

The Ministry of Industry of Thailand, on February 12, 2026, issued the “Ministerial Notification: B.E. 2569 (2026) on the Requirement for Installing Special Equipment for Reporting Air Pollutants Emitted from Stacks at Factories in Bangkok.” This notification was promulgated in light of the continued failure of Bangkok to meet the “Ambient Air Quality Standards.” It has been pointed out that if this situation persists over the long term, it may have serious impacts on the health of residents, and urgent measures are required.
