Thailand Establishes National Data Center Business Policy Committee to Address Power and Water Security

On 13 August 2026, the Thai government published the Prime Minister’s Office Regulation on the Data Center Business Policy Committee B.E. 2569 (2026) in the Government Gazette. The regulation took effect on 14 August 2026 and establishes a policy committee chaired by a Deputy Prime Minister, bringing together relevant ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Energy, Board of Investment (BOI), Energy Regulatory Commission, National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), and Office of the National Water Resources.
