Thailand Strengthens Labeling Requirements for Solar Panels, Inverters and Energy Storage Batteries – Three Products Individually Designated

On 25 September 2026, Thailand's Label Committee, which is responsible for the administration of the Consumer Protection Act, published three notifications in the Government Gazette designating three types of solar power-related equipment as individual label-controlled products.: (1) solar panels, (2) inverters for solar panels, and (3) batteries used to store electricity generated by solar panels. As demand for solar power systems have been increasing across households and other locations, technical information such as output, voltage, efficiency, and battery performance has become important for purchasing decision making and safety concerns.
