Thailand Reviews Quality Standards for Plastic Food Containers

On 16 September 2026, Thailand's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the Ministry of Public Health began soliciting technical information, opinions, and proposals for a review of the Ministry of Public Health Notification (No. 435) B.E. 2565 (2022) Re: Prescribing the Quality or Standards of Containers Made from Plastic. The FDA intends to review the current standards based on scientific knowledge, actual manufacturing methods, and conditions of use, in order to develop requirements that businesses can comply with in practice. Deadline for submissions is on 31 December 2026.
