Thailand’s Ministry of Finance Issues New Standards for Hybrid Passenger Vehicles Using Both Fuel and Electricity

On February 10, 2026, Thailand’s Ministry of Finance, through the Excise Department, published four notifications in the Royal Thai Government Gazette concerning energy‑efficient hybrid vehicles (Hybrid Electric Vehicles) that use both fuel and electricity and fall within the category of passenger cars or passenger vehicles with seating for no more than ten persons.
