Thailand Announces Income Tax Deductions for Household Solar Installations and Energy-Efficient Equipment Purchases

 The Thai government published a royal decree in the Royal Gazette on March 2, 2026, granting an income tax deduction of up to 200,000 baht for the installation cost of on-grid rooftop solar power systems in order to promote household solar adoption. The decree, titled “Royal Decree Issued under the Revenue Code on Tax Exemption (No. 805) B.E. 2569 (2026)”, will be effective from March 3, 2026, to December 31, 2028. Eligible taxpayers may claim the deduction only once in the tax year in which the system is successfully connected to the electricity grid.
