Thailand issues new regulation to govern hydrogen and ammonia as fuels

Thailand’s Ministry of Energy has issued a new ministerial notification establishing regulatory controls over hydrogen and ammonia when used as fuels. The regulation, titled “Notification of Ministry of Energy Notification: Management of Hydrogen and Ammonia Used as Fuel under the Fuel Oil Control Act B.E. 2542 (1999), B.E. 2568 (2025)”, was officially published on December 1, 2025.
