Thai PCD held 2nd public consultation on Sustainable Packaging Management Bill

On January 31, 2025, the Pollution Control Department (PCD) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) of Thailand released the Sustainable Packaging Materials Management Bill (Buddhist Year of XXXX), and held a second session of public consultation for this bill from February 11 to 25, 2025. The bill, which aims to promote sustainable packaging management, is based on the Waste Management Hierarchy, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and Life Cycle Management principles under the philosophy of the circular economy. It also aims to enhance responsible involvement of all stakeholders in sustainable packaging management.
