Thailand promulgated notification on VOC sampling method at chemical plants

On August 8, 2024, in Thailand, the “Department of Industrial Works Notification on Guidelines for Collecting Samples of Ambient Volatile Organic Compounds at Factory Boundary Fences During Major Maintenance Work of B.E. 2567 (2024)” was promulgated. This Notification, which entered into force on the day after the promulgation, is based on the “Ministry of Industry Notification on the Control of Volatile Organic Compound Vapors Emitted from Maintenance Work of B.E. 2565 (2022)”, providing guidelines for taking samples of ambient volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at the boundaries of regulated industrial plants.

 

Guideline for VOC collection methods

This notification establishes the following guidelines for methods of sampling for VOCs in the air at plant boundary fences.
