Thailand Proposes Amendments to Regulations on Reporting of Pollutants from Factories

In March 2024, the Ministry of Industry of Thailand released the Ministerial Draft Notification on Data Reporting on Types and Amounts of Pollutants from Factory Operations (hereinafter referred to as "the Draft") of XXXX (Buddhist Year of XXXX) for public comment. The Draft is to replace the existing Ministry of Industry Notification on Preparation of Reports on the Types and Amounts of Pollutants Emitted by Factory Operations of Buddhist Year of 2558 (2015), imposing reporting obligations on companies for air and water pollutants emitted by their factories. Major revisions from the current Notification include the change to the scope of regulated factories and a reduction in the frequency of mandatory reporting.
