China issues mandatory national standard for packaging multiple types of dangerous goods

On May 30, 2025, China’s Standardization Administration has issued a new mandatory national standard titled Safety Technical Code for Packaging Containing a Variety of Dangerous Goods (GB 45835—2025). The regulation will take effect on June 1, 2026.

The standard outlines classification, coding, labeling, transport markings, packaging requirements, and special provisions for small and micro packages containing multiple types of hazardous materials. As a mandatory national standard, compliance will be required upon implementation.
