Thailand to launch Utility Green Tariff

On 8th January 2024, the Energy Regulatory Commission of Thailand (ERC), an independent body to regulate energy industry operation of the country, announced “Notification of the Energy Regulatory Commission regarding Criteria for Providing Services and Setting Utility Green Tariff B.E. 2566 (2023)” in the Royal Gazette. Utility Green Tariff is a new scheme designed to provide green electricity to the electricity consumers through the national grid.
