Thailand mandates annual reporting of hazardous chemicals

Thailand extended reporting deadline of hazardous chemicals in the factory

 

Thailand Ministry of Industry published “Notification of the Ministry of Industry regarding Safety Measures on Chemical Management in Industrial Plants, B.E. 2565 (2022)” in the Royal Gazette on 25 April 2022. The explosion of chemical factory at the suburban area of Bangkok in July 2021 created great concern about chemical safety of the factory located near the communities. The notification is the first of its kind under the Factory Act, B.E. 2535 (1992) focusing of chemical safety. The notification will come into force 180 days and be implemented in stages.
