Thailand Thailand postpones the enforcement of QR Code requirement for TIS-certified products

The Ministry of Industry of Thailand announced the Ministerial Regulation regarding Format and Methods to Label and Use of Marking on Industrial Products (No.2) B.E. 2564 (2021) in the Royal Gazette on 19 January 2021. The regulation postpones the enforcement of requirements regarding QR code labeled on the TISI certified products for 6 months.

The requirement was supposed to be in effective on 21 January 2021. However, the Ministry of Industry decided to provide an additional grace period of 180 days to make sure the regulatory compliance of industries. A manufacturer or importer of TISI certified products shall affix electronic information by QR Code together with the TISI mark by 20 July 2021.
