Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand updates industrial effluent standards

Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand published “Notification of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand No. 029/2567 regarding general standard for wastewater discharge into the central wastewater treatment system in industrial estates” in the Government Gazette on 27 May 2024. The notification prescribes effluent standards for operators in the industrial estate with central wastewater treatment plant. The notification has been effective since 28 May 2024 and old notification titled “Notification of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand No. 76/2560 regarding general standard for wastewater discharge into the central wastewater treatment system in industrial estates” was repealed.

 

According to the Notification, “Wastewater” refers to all types of used water resulting from business operations or other activities in an industrial estate, except for water resulting from cleaning solar panels installed in business premises, whether installed on the ground, on the roof, or floating, which must not use detergents or chemicals for cleaning.
