The Office of National Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) released a Draft Climate Change Act of B.E. XXXX for public consultation on 24 August 2020. The bill, which is the first of its kind in Thailand, was prepared to establish a legal base to make further effort to tackle global climate change. National Climate Change Board will be established as a focal point of policy development. Industries will be required to report GHG emissions as well as the disclosure of related data.

ONEP is working to finalize the draft act and submit to the parliament by the end of 2020.
