Thailand Promulgated Safety Evaluation Agency and Safety Evaluation Guidelines for Plastic Food Containers

On December 19, 2022, the Food and Drug Administration of Ministry of Public Health in Thailand promulgated “the Food and Drug Administration Notification: List of Safety Evaluation Agencies and Food Safety Evaluation Guidelines for Food Storage Containers or Plastic Storage Containers” in the official gazette. In Thailand, the use of recycled materials, which had been prohibited in the past, was lifted by “the Ministry of Public Health Notification: Regulations for the Quality or Standard of Plastic Storage Containers in the B.E. 2565 (2022)”, which was promulgated on June 17, 2022. The Food and Drug Administration Notification, which has just been promulgated, establishes a list of safety evaluation agencies and guidelines for safety evaluation.
