Thailand promulgates notification on labeling requirements for UV-C emitting products

On September 8, 2022, the Notification of the Committee on Labels Re: Determination of Ultraviolet Radiation in the C Range of Wavelengths (Ultraviolet C or UV-C) Goods as a Label-Controlled Goods was promulgated in Thailand. This notification regulates UV-C radiation goods as label-controlled goods in order to protect consumer health and safety from adverse effects of UV-C. Any UV-C radiation goods must meet labeling requirements, including display of warning statements. This notification will come into effect 120 days after the date of publication in the official gazette.
