Thailand updates a list of target chemicals for half-yearly reporting

Ministry of Industry of Thailand announced “Notification of Ministry of Industry B.E. 2563 (2020): Declaration of the hazardous substances under the authorization of Department of Industrial Works by producer, importer, exporter or possessor (No. 2)” in the Royal Gazette on 2 March 2021. The notification extends a list of target chemicals for half-yearly reporting (commonly called Vor Or/ Or Kor. 7 or VOOK. 7) from the existing list of 53 to 206 chemicals/chemical groups. It also sets a threshold limit of 100 kg per 6 months for the reporting requirement. Hence, producer, importer, exporter, or possessor of target chemicals of less than 100 kg / 6 months are exempted from the reporting requirement. The notification came into force on 3 March 2020.
