On 6 May 2020, Department of Industrial Works (DIW) of the Ministry of Industry, Thailand, announced an exemption of annual factory license fee for one year. This policy, which would be beneficial for 56,598 factories operating in Thailand under Factory Act B.E. 2532 (1992), was established after COVID-19 pandemic. Although Thai government will face a decrease of the revenue, the decision would bring more benefit for industries and the country as a whole.
