Thailand mandates online emission reporting of stationary sources

Thailand Ministry of Industry published "Notification of the Ministry of Industry on the Requirement of the Factory to Install Special Tool or Device to Report Air Pollution from Factory Stacks, B.E. 2565 (2022)” in the Royal Gazette on 10 June 2022. Although Thailand has already published a similar notification in 2001, it was applicable to Rayong province only where petrochemical complex locates. The new notification was published to expand the target area to all nation as well as to promote public participation by disclosing the emission information. The notification will take effect 1 year after announcement in the Royal Gazette and the previous notification in 2001 will be repealed.
