Philippines establishes departmental circular for introduction of MEP and energy efficiency labels for designated facilities

On August 16, 2024, the Department of Energy (DOE) Circular No. DC2024-08-0024 “Guidelines for the MEP for Sectors” was established in the Philippines. This circular stipulates the framework for introducing minimum energy performance (MEP) and energy efficiency labeling regulations for designated facilities in the commercial, industrial, and transportation sectors, and will come into effect 15 days after publication in two general newspapers or the official gazette.
