Singapore Launches Mandatory Chemical Reporting Scheme, starting from January 1, 2026

On July 31, 2025, Singapore announced the implementation of a mandatory chemical reporting framework for hazardous substances license and permit holders. The scheme aims to track and monitor chemicals that are imported or manufactured in Singapore but are not currently regulated by any authority. According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), this framework will help identify substances that may pose risks to human health or the environment and prioritize them for potential regulatory action.
