Philippines Releases Policy Review Report on Chemical Management

On 11 April 2023, Chemical Management Section (CMS) of Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) of the Philippines, released a report on the review of laws and regulations on chemicals under its jurisdiction. The objective of this project is to review existing policies and identify challenges and problems with the current system, in order to develop a basic template for regulatory impact analysis to assist in developing new policies. The report compiles the results of various surveys and focus group discussions, as well as recommendations for the future development and implementation of chemical regulations.
