Vietnam releases draft revision of decree on management of chemicals regulated by Chemical Weapons Convention

On June 9, 2022, Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade released a draft decree to amend the Decree on the Management of Chemicals Governed by the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on Their Destruction (Decree 38/2014/ND-CP). It was open to public comments until June 30.

The amendments to the decree include exemption from the permit requirement for trading or importing and exporting chemicals in accordance with the concentration limits set by the Chemical Weapons Convention, as well as the same document submission period for different categories of regulated chemicals.
