Philippines published draft circular for introduction of MEP and energy-saving performance labels for designated facilities

On May 22, 2024, the Department of Energy (DOE) of the Philippines released the “Guidelines for the MEP for Sectors”, a department circular that stipulates a framework for the introduction of minimum energy performance (MEP) and energy-saving performance labeling regulations for designated facilities in the commercial, industrial, and transportation sectors that are subject to regulation under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act, and began soliciting opinions. The deadline for submission of opinions is June 07, 2024.
