Indonesia releases draft MEPS regulations for electric motor and water pump

On October 3, 2022, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia notified WTO/TBT of two draft decrees on the Minimum Energy Performance Standard (MEPS) for electric motor and water pump (hereinafter referred to as the Drafts). The Drafts provide details on the definition of covered products, MEPS, labelling, and exemptions. The Drafts are subordinate regulations of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 14 of 2021 concerning Implementation of MEPS for Energy Utilizing Equipment.
