Jiangsu Province, China announces Carbon Peaking Implementation Plan 
On October 2, 2022, the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, China announced the “Jiangsu Province Carbon Peaking Implementation Plan.” The plan presents targets such as achieving a total capacity of more than 90 GW from renewable sources by 2030. In addition, special actions such as carbon peaking for each sector are described. For example, in the transportation sector, Jiangsu has set the goal of achieving a new energy vehicle sales ratio of 20% or more by 2025.
