Taiwan MOEA Announces Revisions to Inspection Regulations for Camcorders and AV Equipment Subject to Taiwan RoHS

On October 2, 2026, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) announced revisions to the Inspection Regulations for Mandatory Inspection Commodities: Digital Camcorders, Digital Cameras, and Related Products, and the Inspection Regulations for Mandatory Inspection Commodities: AV Equipment, Projectors, and Related Products. Because the products subject to these regulations include Section 5 "Marking of Presence" of CNS 15663 (2013 edition), all of them fall under the scope of the Taiwan RoHS system. Under these newly revised regulations, "digital camcorders without memory functionality," "ultra-compact video cameras without memory functionality," and "video walls" have been newly added to the scope of coverage.
