Taiwan MOL Issues Latest Guidelines Specifying Application Procedures for Non-Disclosure of SDS Confidential Business Information (CBI)

On September 22, 2026, Taiwan’s Ministry of Labor (MOL) issued the Technical Guidelines for Non-Disclosure of Information in Safety Data Sheets (2026 Edition). Article 18 of the "Regulations for the Labeling and Hazard Communication of Hazardous Chemicals" stipulates that enterprises seeking non-disclosure of SDS information must submit an application to the MOL accompanied by the required documents. The guidelines outline these application procedures and detail the usage of relevant tools. The newly released 2026 edition adds "Aspiration Hazard Category 1" to the scope of information ineligible for non-disclosure.
