Vietnam releases draft decree to facilitate rooftop PV development

On December 6, 2023, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade released Draft Decree Regulating the Development of Rooftop Photovoltaic Power Generation (hereinafter "the Draft") and solicited comments from the public. The Draft applies only to the development of rooftop photovoltaic power generation (hereinafter "rooftop PV") for self-consumption that does not involve the sale of electricity to other organizations or individuals, whether or not it is connected to the national grid.
