Indonesia proposes amendments to biological resources and ecosystem conservation law

On July 9, 2024, the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia announced that the second reading of the bill to amend Act No. 5 of 1990 concerning Conservation of Living Resources and Their Ecosystems (known as the KSDAHE Bill) had begun. If it passes the second reading, it is expected to enter into force with the promulgation of the revised Act.
