India proposes amendments on energy saving labeling for distribution transformers

On August 26, 2022, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) of India announced the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Distribution Transformer) Amendment Regulations, 2022, and is soliciting opinions for 30 days. The proposed regulation specifies items to be displayed on the label, the design of the label, and the label validity period, etc.

 

Energy Saving Labeling Details

In order to display a label, the company must register with BEE and register the product model in advance. Items listed on the energy saving label are as follows:
