India announces new regulation on energy saving labeling for refrigerators

On June 11, 2022, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) of India announced a new regulation (Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Refrigerators) Regulations, 2022) and is soliciting comments for a 30-day period. This proposed Regulation is based on the Energy Saving Labeling Scheme “Standards & Labeling Programme” and replaces the “Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars & Manner of their display on Labels of Household Direct Cool Refrigerators) Regulations, 2016.”
