India Notifies WTO of Quality Control Orders Drafts for 3 chemicals, seeks comments

India has notified WTO for the three Quality Control Orders (QCO) drafts of Vinyl Sulphone, H Acid and K acid on July 26 and 31, 2024, respectively, and is seeking comments until September 24, 2024. Once officially published, the QCOs are expected to enter into force 180 days after the date of publish. These chemicals will be classified into Scheme I of Schedule II under the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018, which will be required to obtain certification and label the standard mark for the import and sale of the chemicals.
