India’s RoHS Regulations Loosened after New Amendment

India’s Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has promulgated the E-Waste (Management) Second Amendment Rules, 2023, amending the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, which come into effect immediately. The RoHS provisions (Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic equipment) which applied to all regulated equipment have been significantly relaxed in the newest amendment.
