Philippines promulgates Implementing Rules and Regulations of the EV Industry Development Act

The Philippines promulgated  the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 11697 of the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA-IRR) on September 6, 2022. The IRR consists of 45 sections in 10 chapters and supplements the requirements defined in RA 11697. Specifically, it specifies that relevant government agencies such as DOE will develop implementing guidelines for the following requirements mentioned in RA 11697. The IRR shall enter into force 15 days after its promulgation in the Official Gazette or in a general paper and upon submission to the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR).
