Philippines publishes implementing guidelines of energy labels for washing machines and energy saving devices/low voltage saving devices

In the Philippines, the implementing guidelines of the Philippine Energy Labeling Program (PELP) for clothes washing machines and household energy saving devices/low voltage saving devices were published on March 4, 2024. The guidelines for clothes washing machines published this time are the updated versions of those published in June 2023. On the other hand, the guidelines for energy saving devices/low voltage saving devices are newly introduced. Importers, manufacturers, sellers, etc., of these products are required to conduct product testing related to energy efficiency based on the respective implementing guidelines and attach designated energy labels.
