Philippine’s House passes bill to implement Chemical Weapons Convention

On January 23, 2024, the House of Representatives of the Philippines passed on third reading (final reading) House Bill (SB) 9571, the “Chemical Weapons Prohibition Act”. This bill is intended to fulfill the country's international obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention. The Philippines ratified the Convention in 1996.
