Taiwan expands the scope of businesses that are eligible to pay recycling fees by using the automated assessment system

On December 16, 2024, the Ministry of Environment of Taiwan promulgated the amended “Measures for Managing Responsible Businesses for Waste to be Collected”. The Measures specifies the registration and recycling fee payment requirements for manufacturers and importers of applicable products and containers (lead-acid batteries, electrical and electronic equipment, lighting fixtures, etc.).
