On May 13, 2025, Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment has announced amendments to its regulations on toxic chemical substances, expanding the list of controlled substances and tightening restrictions on existing ones. The changes were published under the revised “Regulations on the Management of Toxic Chemical Substances and Their Handling.”
The amendments include the addition of salts and related compounds of PFOS (perfluorooctane sulfonate) and PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) to the list of regulated toxic substances.
