Tianjin, China issues mandatory air pollutant emission standards for the rubber products industry

On November 5, 2024, the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment published a mandatory local standard “Air Pollutant Emission Standard for Rubber Product Industry” (DB 12/1353-2024). The standard will come into effect on January 1, 2025. According to the standard, after the publication date of the standard, the relevant provisions of the “Volatile Organic Compound Emission Control Standard for Industrial Enterprises” (DB 12/524) and “Odor Pollutant Emission Standard" (DB 12/059) will no longer apply for rubber products industry.
