Chinese government surveys use of UV-absorbing chemical UV-328 in China in relation to Stockholm Convention on POPs

On May 26, 2025, China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced on its website a survey of the use of UV-328, a chemical used as an ultraviolet (UV) absorber, in China. The ministry sought relevant information through June 13, 2025. This survey was conducted in relation to an amendment to the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants adopted at the 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP-12) in May 2025.
