Chinese organization publishes draft standard for N-methylpyrrolidone control in lithium-ion battery manufacturing

On March 27, 2024, the All-China Environment Federation published a draft association standard called the Guideline on N-methylpyrrolidone Emission Accounting and Control Techniques of Prevention for Lithium Ion Battery Production Industry. The federation is seeking comments on the draft. Here is an overview.

 

Scope of the standard

The draft standard would be the first Chinese standard for N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) pollution control. It sets out a calculation method for NMP emissions and available techniques for air pollution control, covering NMP pollution prevention technologies, pretreatment for NMP pollution prevention, requirements for NMP fugitive emission control, and so on.
