China promotes recycling of waste equipment from wind and solar power systems

On Aug. 17, 2023, China’s National Development and Reform Commission and other five government departments issued “guiding opinions” on promoting the recycling of waste equipment from wind and solar power systems.

China has the most wind and solar power systems in place in the world, which means that the country will have to deal with large quantities of waste equipment from them. The guiding opinions aim to promote the recycling of such equipment.
