India notifies the draft of quality control order for air conditioners etc. to WTO-TBT. 
On October 28, 2019, India’s Ministry of Commerce and industry notified a draft of “Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Order, 2019” to WTO-TBT. This proposal was reported as WTO-TBT notification along with the proposed Quality Control Order for kitchen appliances and liquefied petroleum gas water heaters in or around April-May 2018. The draft has been reintroduced again with some amendments.

- Effective date：After six months from the date of publication in the official Gazette
- Scope：The goods or articles in the table below imported or manufactured for using within India shall be complied with the corresponding Indian Standard mentioned and bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the “Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) as per BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018”.
