India publishes QCO for Polyphosphoric Acid

On December 27, 2021, India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers published “Polyphosphoric Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2021”. The subject goods under Indian Standard IS 17439:2020 have to bear the “Standard Mark” in accordance with the license granted by the Bureau of Indian Standards in Scheme II of Schedule II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Rules, 2018. Any violation of the provisions of the order shall be punishable under the “Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016”. For the scope of coverage, it is necessary to refer to each applicable Indian Standard. This Order will enter into force 180 days after its publication and shall not apply to subject merchandise for export purposes.
