India publishes Quality Control Order for Ortho Phosphoric Acid 
On June 15, 2021, India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers published the quality control order for ortho phosphoric acid (Phosphoric Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2021).
The order is applicable to the scope of coverage as specified in Indian Standard IS 798 and does not apply to the subject goods for export purposes. Also, the subject goods shall be labelled the “Standard Mark” in accordance with the license granted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per the Scheme I of Schedule II in the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

The Indian Standards that must be complied with shall be the latest version in force at all times.
The order is to be come into force after 180 days from its publication. Any violation of the provisions of the Quality Control Order shall be punishable under the “Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016”.
