India notifies the draft QCOs for Linear Alkyl Benzene, etc. to WTO-TBT 
On January 12, 2021, India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers notified the draft quality control orders for Linear Alkyl Benzene, Polyethylene Material for moulding and extrusion and Styrene Butadiene Rubber Latex to WTO-TBT and a 60-day comment period is underway. These orders will come into force on the expiry of 180 days from the date of its publication in the Official gazette and will not apply to products intended for export.
Goods or articles specified in the table below shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard as specified in the said table and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per the Scheme I of Schedule II of the “Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018”. Any violation of the provisions of these orders shall be punishable under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
