China mandates air pollutant emission control in four industries

On Oct. 22, 2022, China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment and State Administration for Market Regulation issued four national standards for air pollutant emission control: the Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Printing Industry (GB 41616-2022), Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Glass Industry (GB 26453-2022), Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Mineral Wool Industry (GB 41617-2022) and Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Lime and Calcium Carbide Industry (GB 41618-2022). These national standards, which will come into effect Jan. 1, 2023, set out requirements for air pollution control, air pollution monitoring and so forth.
